Father Ted star reveals cancer battle

'Father Ted' star Frank Kelly has revealed he is having chemotherapy after being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
The Mirror newspaper reports that the 69-year-old, who played foul-mouthed priest Jack Hackett in the hit comedy, had a tumour removed last September.
He is in the middle of a seven-month chemotherapy course that doctors hope will stop the cancer returning.
Speaking to the paper Kelly said: "The tumour was the size of a bloody cabbage."
He continued: "I had discomforts and symptoms that I thought were just bowel problems. But when you're told it's cancer, it doesn't come as such a massive shock."
Kelly added: "I've made a complete recovery. But I need chemo to reduce the chance of it returning."

Jay Z, Kings of Leon and The Verve take been announced as this year's Glastonbury headliners.
Following months of speculation, in which Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen and Light-emitting diode Graf Zeppelin were rumoured to play on the Pyramid phase, the headliners were finally disclosed yesterday.
Kings of Leon will headline on Fri night; Jay Z on Sabbatum; and The Verve testament close the fete on Dominicus evening.
Other acts of the Apostles too confirmed to recreate are CSS, Neil Diamond and Hot Microprocessor chip. The Shielder is too reporting that Elmore John Leonard Cohen will perform on microscope stage for the number 1 time in 14 age.
Of the headliners, personal organiser Emily Eavis said: "We're dead thrilled to have them. The Vitality ar a classic Glastonbury band who've played roughly amazing sets at the festival over the long time. Now that they're back together once again, performing brilliant shows, we've lastly got them doing the headline time slot that they always deserved. I can't wait."
She continued: "Jay-Z is coming altogether the way over from Newly York specially to play the fete. It's a real coup for us. He might look like a slimly unusual choice for Glastonbury, simply we've ne'er precisely gone for the obvious acts and we're so honoured to have one of the about talented and respected musicians on the planet approach to the farm. She added: "That leaves Kings of Leon. They've come through the ranks at Glastonbury since they rocked the Freshly Bands Tent in 2003.
